Most homes don't work well for house hacking; use the (ASMRS) rule to find the perfect home for house hacking:

A - Adequate parking large driveway/cul-de-sac, 4+ cars

S - School District is a plus and allows you split family rentals

M - Minimum 400sq ft per person

R- Relaxed HOA without rental, trash, or car restrictions

S - SFR & multi family > condo & townhouse. More bedrooms the better (does not affect DTI!*)
